As a 14 year old who watched this, I think it was really good. Anna Kendrick"s character, Stephanie Smothers, is probably the most positive role model, being an amazing single mum. However, she"s not perfect, having incestual sex with her half-brother & then with her best friend Emily Nelson"s (married) husband, Sean Townsend. The hookup with the husband is a bit of gray area, to be honest, because he"d just found out that his wife had died & was emotionally unstable. Emily Nelson is probably the worst role model in the film. She"s a toxic friend, swears quite often, isn"t really that good of a parent & is also an alcoholic. In one instance, when she finds out that Stephanie slept with her half-brother, Emily creates the phrase "brotherf**ker", which is used quite often throughout the film. Emily Nelson is reckless and an expert con-woman, who leads many false lives throughout the film. This movie contains quite a lot of somewhat graphic sexual content. Emily and Sean"s relationship is openly lustful, & the two make out in front of Stephanie in a scene. Sex và sexual pleasure is shown quite commonly, but any sex scenes are only shot from the waist-up, & the camera focuses on the thrusts & pleasure on the character"s faces. In one scene, a pink d*ldo is shown. It"s not very detailed/lifelike, but the tip và the balls are clearly visible. Nudity is only shown through nude art, such as drawings of naked breasts & torsos. One artwork, painted at an ant"s-eye-view of a naked woman that shows pubic hair và breasts, is shown many times in the film.
